Warning over Derby Kilomathon road closures

Residents and visitors to Derby are being warned to take note of a number of road closures due to a road race through the city.

The Kilomathon, which covers a distance of 26.2km (16.3 miles), will take place on Sunday 20 March through Derby.

More than 100 roads in and around Derby will be closed in phases between 0600 GMT and 1355 GMT.

Thousands of people have entered the race, which begins in Duffield Road at 0900 GMT.

Those affected by the road closures have been asked by the city and county councils to check the Kilomathon website for full information.
