Woman passenger killed in Taddington motorbike crash

A woman has died and a man is in a critical condition following a motorbike crash in Derbyshire.

The bike was heading towards Bakewell on the A6 at Taddington at 1410 GMT on Tuesday when it was in collision with a lorry going in the opposite direction.

The motorcyclist, in his 40s, is in a critical but stable condition at the Northern Hospital, Sheffield.

The woman pillion passenger, also in her 40s, was pronounced dead at Chesterfield General Hospital.

The lorry driver was unhurt.
