A man found guilty of firearms and drug offences has absconded from a Derbyshire open prison.

Anthony Gubb, 37, previously of Liverpool, failed to return to HMP Sudbury on Tuesday after temporary leave.

He was given a nine-year prison sentence for his offences in November 2007 at Carlisle Crown Court.

Gubb is described as 5ft 8in tall, with blue eyes, cropped straight blond hair and a Liverpool accent.
