Derby woman in court accused of making false rape claim

A Derby woman has appeared in court charged with making a false allegation that she was raped.

In January, the woman told officers she had been raped.

The 21-year-old has been charged with two counts of perverting the course of justice after making a false report of rape and another of indecent exposure.

She was bailed by Southern Derbyshire Magistrates to appear at Derby Crown Court on 19 May.
