Arrest in Derbyshire charity bags theft probe

A 32-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of stealing Salvation Army charity bags in Derbyshire.

A police patrol officer said he saw a van driver acting suspiciously on the A6, at Dove Holes, Buxton, on Friday morning.

Following a search of the vehicle, several Salvation Army charity bags were found, which contained clothes.

The arrested man remains in police custody where he is currently being questioned.
