Woman hurt after car crashes into house in Derby

A 52-year-old woman has been taken to hospital after her car crashed into a house in Derby.

A Ford Focus left the road and crashed into the front of the semi-detached property on Bishops Drive, Oakwood, at about 1300 BST on Friday.

The driver was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The occupant of the house was unhurt.

An investigation into the cause of the crash, which also involved a Vauxhall Corsa, is under way.

Derbyshire Police closed the road for a while to allow for the crash scene to be examined.
