E-fit issued in Long Eaton taxi driver robbery inquiry

Police have released an e-fit of a man wanted in connection with a knifepoint robbery on a Derbyshire taxi driver.

The suspect approached a taxi driver who was waiting in Market Place, Long Eaton, at about 2100 BST on 3 April.

He asked to be taken to Briar Gate and when they reached the destination he put a knife to the victim's throat and demanded cash.

The 53-year-old taxi driver handed over some money and his mobile phone. He sustained a cut to his hand.

The offender is described as white, in his mid 20s, about 6ft, with short black hair and of slim build.

He has a very thin oval face and was wearing a light grey hooded top.
