Outdoor clothing shops in Derbyshire warned over thefts
Police in Derbyshire are urging outdoor clothing businesses to tighten their security after a number of break-ins.
Sgt Jon Lloyd from Derbyshire Police said clothing shops across the High Peak and Derbyshire Dales areas were targeted due to their high value stock.
In the most recent thefts, which happened at the end of May, a number of jackets were taken from Country Attire in Whaley Bridge.
A 33-year-old man arrested on suspicion of burglary has been released on bail.
Sgt Lloyd said: "We are working with businesses to make them more secure and therefore less attractive to burglars.
"Shop owners should make sure windows and doors are well secured and that CCTV cameras are fitted around their premises."
