Woman targeted by knife robber in Derby city centre

A robber armed with a knife stole cash and jewellery from a woman in Derby.

The woman had parked her car on Oak Street when she was approached by a man selling jewellery at about 1400 BST on Wednesday.

After she declined, the man left but returned later asking for money. When the woman saw a concealed knife she handed over cash and gold earrings.

The man was black, aged about 40, 5ft 6in (1.6m) tall and wore a grey jacket and baseball cap.

After the robbery he walked off towards Corden Street.

Police are asking anyone to get in touch if offered jewellery for sale by a man matching this description.
