Derby teenager grabbed by car stranger

An incident where a teenage girl was grabbed by a motorist in Derby is being investigated by police.

The 14-year-old was walking along London Road, Alvaston, on Wednesday evening when a man in a red car pulled up and asked for directions.

The driver grabbed the girl's arm but she pulled away and ran off. Police said his intentions were unclear.

He is described as possibly of Chinese origin, aged between 40 and 50 and of heavy build.

He had grey hair and a tanned complexion with two moles on his right cheek. The vehicle was described as an old red five-door car.
