Five arrested over Derbyshire metal thefts

Five more arrests have been made as part of an operation to cut down on metal thefts in Derbyshire.

Two men were arrested after metal was stolen from a garage in Hollington, Ashbourne. One was charged and the other received a caution.

A further two men were arrested after a large amount of scrap metal was stolen from St Joseph's Social Centre on Mill Hill Lane in Derby.

Another man was arrested on suspicion of burglary in Derby.

Eight people have already been arrested as part of the operation which started on 1 September.
