Chesterfield pub shuts for weekend after underage sales

A Chesterfield pub is to shut down for a weekend after twice being caught selling alcohol to under-18s.

Bar Envy was found to be serving the drinks during checks by police and trading standards officers in June and August.

The bar chose the 48-hour closure as an alternative to criminal prosecution and will shut from 15:00 BST on Friday 30 September.

The bartender who served the drinks was given an £80 fixed penalty notice.

Chesterfield police said they would be continuing with checks on pubs and clubs in the area.
