Metal thieves 'destroy' Derbyshire man's burger van business

A man who set up a burger van after being made redundant three years ago has said thieves have put him out of business.

Steve Dawson, 52, operated his van from a lay-by in Etwall, Derbyshire.

Mr Dawson said thieves caused £15,000 worth of damage after the van's stainless steel work surfaces and doors were stripped.

He said: "They've left nothing worth bothering with now, it's completely finished me as a business."

Mr Dawson was an engineer before he was made redundant in 2008.
