The structure of a Grade II-listed building in Derby was not seriously damaged by a recent fire, fire officials said.

A survey of the Derby Hippodrome has found no serious concerns about its stability following the fire on 26 November.

Crews were called to the former theatre, which has been derelict for three years, at 03:30 GMT.

Two men were arrested on suspicion of arson following the fire in Green Lane.

Fifteen people were evacuated from nearby homes and a large part of the city centre was closed off during the fire.
