Van driver, 36, dies after lorry crash near Derby

A 36-year-old man has died after the van he was driving crashed into a stationary lorry on the A52 near Derby.

The collision happened on the Nottingham-bound carriageway in a lay-by near a petrol station in Ockbrook, at about 09:00 BST on Friday.

The road, also known as Brian Clough Way, was closed for more than five hours and diversions were put in place.

Derbyshire Police said no-one else was injured and have appealed for witnesses.
