Derby fatal attack: Victim named as Ashley Finlay, 24

A man who died after being assaulted outside a Derby pub has been named by police.

Ashley Finlay, 24, from Spondon, died in hospital after being attacked at about 03:30 BST on Monday outside The Old Bell on Sadler Gate.

Two men, aged 29 and 45, have been arrested on suspicion of murder and are still being questioned.

Police believe Mr Finlay was knocked to the ground and attacked but have asked for more witnesses to come forward.

A post-mortem examination is due to take place.
