Police investigate death at Derbyshire care home

Police are investigating the death of an 80-year-old woman at a care home in Derbyshire.

The BBC understands the inquiry will involve claims that a wardrobe may have fallen on the woman, who has not been named.

Derbyshire Constabulary was called to the Coach House Nursing Home in Milford at 06:50 BST on 9 April.

Post-mortem tests proved inconclusive and there has been no comment from the owners of the home.

A spokesperson for Derbyshire Constabulary said a file is being prepared for the coroner.

Amber Valley Borough Council is also investigating the circumstances surrounding the woman's death.
