A supermarket could be built on the site of Bolsover District Council's offices in Derbyshire under plans unveiled by Morrisons.

The store, at Sherwood Lodge, would provide jobs and better shopping facilities in the town, the firm said.

The council is due to move its offices to the former Chesterfield College Campus in Clowne later this year.

A formal planning application for the store is expected in May with building potentially starting in early 2013.
