Man sought over 'mindless' Glossop car damage

Police are trying to trace a man after "thousands of pounds" of damage was caused to 25 cars in a Derbyshire town.

Officers investigating the case in Glossop, which happened in the early of hours of 13 January, said the man was seen between 03:00 and 03:30 GMT.

Cars were damaged on Queen Street, High Street West, Victoria Street, James Street and Slatelands.

Insp Jon Clark urged people to come forward to help trace whoever had committed the "mindless damage".

The man in the CCTV is described as white, in his 20s, with light brown, "shaggy" hair.

Anyone with information about the man is asked to contact Derbyshire Police.
