The woman's mobile phone and laptop were also stolen in the attack at her house on Stafford Street in Long Eaton on 13 February.

Detectives have appealed for anyone with any information about the robbery to contact them.

The 25-year-old woman was treated at Nottingham Queen's Medical Centre for cuts to her face.

The man who hit the woman is described as white, 20 to 25 years old, over 6ft tall, of slim build with a gaunt face and wearing a blue waterproof jacket, dark blue tracksuit bottoms and a black woolly beanie hat.

The second man was wearing a balaclava and a beanie hat.
