South Normanton stabbing: Police appeal after Daniel Baker death

Detectives investigating the death of a 32-year-old man who was found stabbed in a street want to speak to two men seen in the area.

Daniel Baker of Derby was discovered with stab wounds on Mansfield Road in South Normanton on Friday evening.

He was taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead.

A 31-year-old man and a 24-year-old woman, both from South Normanton, have been arrested and are being questioned over the death.

Two men were seen walking down Storth Lane in South Normanton and turning right into Mansfield Road at about 23:25 BST on Friday, police said.

The men were seen only a few minutes before Mr Baker was discovered and might have vital information, a police spokesman said.
