Detectives investigating the death of a man in a fire at a disused building in Derby have released mobile phone footage of the blaze.

The body of Jaroslaw Wieczorek, 26, was found in the building on Great Northern Road, following a fire on 8 October.

Derbyshire Police hope the footage will encourage more witnesses to come forward.

Officers want to speak to a "dishevelled" man who was sitting on steps behind the building at the time.

The man is described as white, aged in his 40s, about 6ft (1.82m) tall, of slim build, with shaven grey hair and stubble with grey patches.

He asked a passerby for a cigarette.

Officers also want to identify three 12-year-old boys seen throwing stones near the building the day before the fire, between 15:00 and 16:00 BST.

A 39-year-old man arrested after the fire on suspicion of arson has been bailed.

Police would like to speak to anyone who took photographs or videos of the fire and the surrounding area.

The building was extensively damaged in the blaze.
