High Peak raids: Man charged with firearms offences

A man charged with firearms offences after police seized four guns during raids in Derbyshire has been remanded in custody by Chesterfield magistrates.

An industrial unit in Doveholes and a house in Harpur Hill, Buxton, were raided on Wednesday.

Dominic Birch, 21, is accused of possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life and possession of a controlled drug with intent to supply.

Mr Birch, of Harpur Hill Road, is due at Derby Crown Court on 27 February.

A 21-year-old woman who was also arrested after the raids has been bailed.
