Swadlincote stabbing: Man charged with murder

A 21-year-old man has appeared in court accused of murdering a teenager outside a Derbyshire bar.

Dante Francis, 17 and from Leicester, was found stabbed in Swadlincote on Sunday and died on Tuesday.

Dominic Halliday-Fox, from Derby, appeared at Southern Derbyshire Magistrates' Court and was remanded in custody.

A 23-year-old man, arrested on suspicion of violent disorder, has been released on police bail.

A 29-year-old man released earlier in the week also remains on bail.

Dante was found injured in Swadlincote in the early hours of Sunday, after a "massive party" in a nearby bar.

Mr Halliday-Fox, whose full address cannot be given, is due to appear at Nottingham Crown Court on 18 April.
