Derbyshire Police search for boy witness to 1970s sex attack
Police have issued an "unusual" appeal in a bid to trace a man who may have witnessed a sexual assault as a child more than 40 years ago.
Officers believe the boy, nicknamed Dutch, did not speak English and was described as having a large nose, blonde hair and blue eyes.
He would have been between seven and 13 at the time of the attack, in Bolsover, Derbyshire, in the early 1970s.
Derbyshire Police have issued an e-fit of how he may have looked at the time.
The force said it was not able to reveal specific details about the assault, but it involved multiple attacks on a young male.
Det Con Katherine Hewitt said the man may have "crucial information".
"This is quite an unusual appeal for information in that we have produced an e-fit of a boy based on how he looked in the 1970s," she said.
"We hope that someone might recognise the description."
Anyone with information is urged to contact the force.
