Wounds found on dead Plymouth man were self-inflicted

Police investigating the death of a 40-year-old man at a house in Devon have ruled out murder after tests revealed the injuries were self-inflicted.

Officers were called to the Stoke area of Plymouth on Wednesday morning where they discovered the injured man.

He was treated by ambulance crews but later died at the scene.

A man has been bailed in connection with the death and police are preparing a file for the coroner.
