South West Water repair Bishopsteignton mains burst

Households left without water after a mains burst in a Devon town have had supplies restored.
South West Water (SWW) was first made aware of the problem in Bishopsteignton at about 0630 GMT.
A burst distribution main in Teignmouth Road cut the water supply to numerous properties in the area for several hours.
SWW said engineers had repaired the burst and water had now been restored to all its customers.
A spokeswoman said the company offered its apologies to customers who had been inconvenienced.
In December, the thaw following ice and snow led SWW to bring in extra staff to deal with an "unprecedented" numbers of bursts.
Between 26 and 30 December engineers dealt with nearly 200 burst mains and pipes.
