Teignmouth firefighters rescue dog trapped in well

Firefighters have rescued a dog which fell down a well in a Devon town.

Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service said it was called to a property in Courteney Place, Teignmouth, just after 0830 GMT.

The dog had fallen about 8ft (2.4m) down a well and was unable to get back out.

Firefighters used tools and an extension ladder to rescue the dog and return it to its owner. It was uninjured.
