Extra bank holiday rubbish collections for Exeter

Extra refuse collections have been organised in a Devon city over the Easter bank holiday.

Exeter City Council was criticised for allowing black bin bags to pile up on the streets over the Christmas period.

Some residents were without a bin collection for four weeks when snow and ice complicated bank holiday closures.

The council said crews would also be working on Saturday 30 April to clear waste from royal wedding street parties held the previous day.
