Torbay RNLI rescuers save stranded pair

Two people were rescued from a yacht after it became stranded on rocks off the south Devon coast.

Two Torbay lifeboats were launched on Sunday after the yacht's engine overheated and it became uncontrollable in strong easterly winds.

Lifeboat crews found the 32ft Blythe Spirit, which is owned by a local woman, on rocks at Corbyn Head.

The inshore lifeboat rescued two elderly people from the yacht and they were taken to Torquay harbour.
