Devon 'sacrificial' goat deaths investigated
Police are investigating the "sacrificial" killings of two pet goats in Devon.
The goats were taken in separate incidents from a shed at the same property at Bowd near Sidmouth, first on 24 April and again on 26 April.
In both incidents their throats had been cut and they were both left with their heads lying across their bodies, said police.
A third goat at the property has been moved for its own safety.
A spokesman for Devon and Cornwall Police said: "There is a sacrificial element to the deaths.
"It could be anyone, but it is unusual that both deaths happened so close together and in the same way."
