Fire in Exmouth model railway shop

Fire crews in east Devon have dealt with a blaze at a model railway shop.

The alarm was raised at about 0700 BST after smoke was seen coming from the roof of the two-storey building in the Esplanade in Exmouth.

The seat of the fire was tracked to a first-floor storage area and brought under control.

The fire service said there was damage to the first floor of the building and an investigation into the cause was under way.
