John Doyle charged with partner murder over crash death

A man has been charged with murder after a woman died at the scene of a crash in Devon.

John Doyle, 50, was arrested on Friday after officers were called to the A386 near Hatherleigh following reports that a van had hit a hedge.

The victim has been named by officers from the major crime investigation team as Sian Rees, Mr Doyle's partner.

Mr Doyle, from Hatherleigh, is due to appear at Exeter Magistrates' Court on Monday morning.
