Man charged over Launceston pub 'threats to kill'

A 56-year-old man has been charged with false imprisonment and threats to kill after three people were allegedly held captive at a Cornish pub.

Devon and Cornwall Police were alerted to the incident at the Newmarket Inn, on Race Hill, in Launceston, just before 06:00 BST on Monday.

Trained police negotiators and firearms officers went to the scene and a man was later arrested.
