Four arrested after Dartington unit break-in attempt

Four men have been arrested after an attempted break-in at an industrial unit in Devon, police have said.

Officers were called to Webbers Yard, Dartington, on Thursday night.

One man was arrested at the scene. The others were arrested nearby after a dog handler and the force helicopter were called in, police said.

The men - a 25-year-old and an 18-year-old from Oxford, plus a 46-year-old and a 22-year-old from Bristol - were taken to Torquay station for questioning.

It is not thought anything was taken from the unit during the incident at about 23:30 BST, but a steel door suffered damage estimated at £500, Devon and Cornwall Police said.
