Hundreds affected by electricity cut in Plymouth

More than 1,400 homes and businesses have been without electricity in Plymouth, said the supplier, Western Power Distribution.

The company said premises had lost power for between 20 and 80 minutes. It said it was alerted to the problem at 10:20 BST.

A "cable fault" in Hermitage Road had caused the cut, it added.

Western Power Distribution said all the properties had had their electricity restored.
