Holsworthy woman rescued by firefighters

A woman has been rescued from a fire in Devon and airlifted to hospital.

Emergency services were alerted to the fire at Southfields, Bridgerule, Holsworthy, just before 11:00 BST.

Crews from Holsworthy and Bude had to force entry into the property to rescue the woman and then tackle the fire on the first floor.

The woman was taken to hospital by the Devon Air Ambulance but her condition is not known. The cause of the incident is being investigated.
