Dartmoor wall crash driver identified as David Pitcher

A 64-year-old man who died after crashing his car into a dry stone wall on Dartmoor has been named by police as David Pitcher.

The incident happened between Moretonhampstead and Postbridge on the B3212, at about 20:15 BST on Monday.

Mr Pitcher died at the scene of the crash. The road was closed for about five hours while police investigated the incident.

He was from Moretonhampstead and was driving a red Toyota MR2, police added.
