North Devon pay-and-display parking machines raided

Pay-and-display parking machines in four north Devon towns have been vandalised and emptied in what are believed to be co-ordinated raids.

The thefts took place early on Wednesday and Thursday, police said.

Three machines in Holsworthy, two in Great Torrington, one in South Molton and one in Bideford had their cash boxes forced open and emptied.

Torridge District Council condemned the thefts. There are no reports as to how much money was taken.
