Devon paedophile Stephen Manley on offenders' course

A Devon paedophile who sparked a Facebook campaign has been sent on a sex offenders' course.

Stephen Manley, 44, formerly of Bovey Tracey, admitted making, possessing and distributing indecent images of boys.

A Facebook group was set up to campaign to have him moved from his mother's house which overlooked a school.

Manley, who has been in custody since October, will now be freed to live in a bail hostel away from Bovey Tracey, Exeter Crown Court heard.

Manley admitted five counts of making, six of possessing and one of distributing indecent images of boys aged 12 to 16.

He was ordered to undertake sex offenders' treatment as part of a two-year community order by Judge Phillip Wassall.

Judge Wassall told him: "The address where you are going has been checked by the police and is perfectly safe."
