Staff at two Devon window factories vote for strike
Staff at two window factories in south Devon have voted in favour of industrial action, a union says.
Workers at Total Windows and DB Glass, both part of the Epwin Group, voted to strike after not having a pay rise for three years.
Dave Springbett, from Unite, said staff at the sites in Paignton and Newton Abbot were struggling on their wages, but they hoped to resolve the dispute.
No-one from the Epwin Group has been available for comment.
The Epwin Group, which has its head office in Cheltenham, manufactures windows, doors and conservatories.
It employs about 300 staff in Devon.
It has about 30 businesses and a total workforce of nearly 2,000 people at nine factory sites and other stores around England and Wales.
