Driver dies after hitting parked lorry on A30 in Devon
A 79-year-old man has died after hitting a parked lorry on the A30 in Devon.
The man, from Bristol, was driving a Volvo XC car when he struck the lorry at Sourton, near Okehampton, at about 14:45 GMT on Wednesday, police said.
The Volvo was travelling westbound and the HGV was parked in a protected lay by.
The man was declared dead at the scene. The 55-year-old driver of the HGV suffered minor injuries.
Police said the reason for the crash was not known and an investigation had begun.
