A man has denied shooting dead his wife at their north Devon farm.

David Leeman, 59, of Parracombe, near Barnstaple pleaded not guilty to murder at Exeter Crown Court.

He is accused of shooting his wife and mother-of-four Jennie Leeman, 44, at the family farm on 18 September last year.

Mr Leeman was remanded in custody until his trial, which is scheduled to begin on 2 July. The family had lived on the farm for 10 years.

The couple also ran the companies Leeman UK and Leeman Holdings UK.
