Crediton man charged with child abduction in Exeter

A man has appeared in court charged with child abduction in Devon.

Mark Howe, 50, was charged with two counts of detaining children in Exeter following alleged incidents on New Year's Eve and 13 January.

Howe, of Crediton was also charged with another offence against a child, possessing an indecent image of a child and one count of grooming.

He did not enter any pleas at Exeter Magistrates' Court and is due to appear at Exeter Crown Court on Thursday.

He was remanded in custody.
