Staff suspended after death in Plymouth care home
Three members of staff have been suspended from a care home in Plymouth after the death of an elderly resident, the home has said.
Sarah Josephine Smith, 96, from St Peter's Convent in Plympton St Maurice, died in December, a spokesperson from the home confirmed.
She suffered a neck injury following a fall, they added.
The home cares for elderly residents. The spokesperson confirmed police were investigating the incident.
The spokesperson said: "We would like to extend our condolences to the family for what was a tragic accident.
"An investigation into the incident is under way which we are fully co-operating with."
The care home is run by the catholic charity Augustinian Care.
