The family of a motorcyclist who died on the A35 in east Devon has described him as a "gentle giant with a heart of gold".

Andrew Luckham was in a collision with an Audi car in the area of Offwell village, near Honiton, on Sunday.

The 48-year-old, who was from the Cullompton area, died at the scene.

His partner, Sharon Jones, said: "Our one consolation is that he died riding his motorbike, doing what was his lifelong joy."

She added: "He was a friend to all and loved by all those whose lives he touched."

The car driver, a woman aged in her 40s, was treated for shock.
