Arrest after Bideford armed police operation
Police in north Devon have arrested a 48-year-old man on suspicion of making threats to kill.
It followed an operation by armed police in the area of All Halland Street in Bideford.
The area was cordoned off for an hour and a half with shops closed and people at a restaurant told to stay inside, Devon and Cornwall Police said.
The man was arrested at a residential property in All Halland Street. No-one was hurt, police added.
