HMS Dauntless rescues yachtsman off Plymouth

Royal Navy destroyer HMS Dauntless helped to rescue a man who collapsed on his boat off Plymouth.

A medical team from Dauntless went on board the 33ft (10m) vessel at about 02:30 BST on Saturday.

The victim, who had suffered a seizure on a yacht sailing from Falmouth to Chichester, was airlifted to hospital. His condition is unknown.

HMS Dauntless, one of the UK's largest air defence destroyers, is en route to the Falkland Islands.
