Teenager stabbed on Plymouth Hoe in afternoon attack

A man was stabbed in a busy area of Devon on Saturday afternoon, police have said.

The 18-year-old was stabbed in the torso at about 15:30 BST near the war memorial on Plymouth Hoe.

He was taken to Derriford Hospital and later discharged. Police said he "escaped any life changing injuries".

Two 18-year-old men, from Plymouth and Liverpool, were arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm. They have been released on bail.

Devon and Cornwall Police said it is believed two men were seen running from the scene and have urged anyone with information to get in touch.
