Samaritans open during Exeter office refurbishment

A listening service for people in distress in Exeter will still be open, despite its building closing for five months as it undergoes refurbishment.

The Samaritans' office in the city is having major building work carried out from Wednesday.

It was not due to reopen until October, managers said.

Face-to-face services would be restricted from 18:00 until 21:00 every evening, but the phone service would be unchanged, its director said.
